Privacy Policy.
This policy explains how Tapture handles account, profile, contact, communication, billing and product-use information.
Last updated September 2, 20261. Scope and accountability
This policy applies to Tapture websites, smart-card profiles, dashboards and related services. Tapture is accountable for personal information under its control and uses service providers to operate the product.
2. Information we collect
- Account details such as name, email, company, sign-in data and trial or plan status.
- Profile content such as biography, links, images, offers and public contact details.
- Contact information submitted after a card tap, including name, email, consent record and an optional LinkedIn URL.
- Communication activity such as delivery, opens, replies, unsubscribes and meeting outcomes.
- Billing records from our payment processor. Tapture does not store full payment-card numbers.
- Technical information such as device, browser, IP address, timestamps and security logs.
3. Why we use information
We use information to claim and operate cards; create hosted profiles; send requested card copies, sign-in links and service messages; organize contacts; provide follow-up and CRM tools; administer trials and billing; prevent abuse; support users; and comply with law.
4. Consent and public-profile matching
We seek meaningful consent where required. If you ask Tapture to look for a public professional profile, we use the name or URL you provide to return possible matches for your confirmation. A match is not treated as verified until you confirm it. We do not ask for social-network passwords.
5. AI processing
Some features may use automated or AI systems to draft messages, summarize activity or suggest possible matches. We identify these features in the product. AI output can be inaccurate, so consequential decisions should receive human review. We limit information sent to providers to what is reasonably needed for the requested feature.
6. How we share information
We may share information with the card owner you chose to connect with; vendors that provide hosting, email, payments, analytics, security and AI processing; professional advisers; authorities where legally required; or a successor in a business transaction. We do not sell personal information.
7. Email and unsubscribe choices
Requested card delivery, security and account emails are service communications. Promotional or automated commercial emails are sent only where there is an appropriate consent basis. They identify the sender and include a working unsubscribe option. Unsubscribe requests are processed as required by law.
8. Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes above, legal obligations, dispute resolution and security. Account holders can request deletion. We may retain limited records of consent, unsubscribe requests, transactions or abuse prevention where required.
9. Safeguards and transfers
We use administrative, technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No system is perfectly secure. Providers may process information outside your province or country, where it can be subject to local laws.
10. Access, correction and deletion
You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request access or correction, withdraw consent for optional uses, or request deletion, subject to legal exceptions. We may verify your identity before acting. Contact hello@tapture.co.
11. Cookies and local storage
We use necessary cookies or similar storage for sign-in, security and interface preferences. If we introduce non-essential analytics or advertising technologies, we will provide notice and choices where required.
12. Children
Tapture is not intended for children under 16. If we learn that we collected personal information from a child without appropriate authorization, we will take steps to delete it.
13. Canadian privacy references
Our practices are informed by the PIPEDA fair information principles, the Canadian privacy regulators’ principles for generative AI, and the CRTC’s anti-spam guidance.
14. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the product and law evolve. We will post the revised date and provide additional notice for material changes when required. Privacy questions or complaints can be sent to hello@tapture.co.
